Welcome to the home of Peapods, the one-of-a-kind support and action group for families of children with physical disabilities. Whether your child has minor or major physical disabilities and regardless of any other disabilities, we welcome you and hope to provide support, information, activities and fun.

Specialist equipment for our children Come along to our monthly parents' and carers' meeting and find out more about what equipment is available to help our children. There will be pieces of equipment there for you to look at, details on where to get funding for equipment that isn't provided for by the authorities, plus lots of parents and carers will be standing by to offer advice about what works and to tell you about their favourite suppliers. NEXT SATURDAY CLUB: Saturday 10th January 2009 10am-12pm at Twyford Scout Headquarters. Greet the new year with a smile and come along to our 'Happy Faces' themed Saturday Club. Our experienced helpers have lots of ideas with crafts and games to keep everyone amused. All activities are free and there is plenty of opportunity for parents to have a coffee and a chat. Encompassing towns across and around the
Wokingham District, we meet on the first Tuesday of every month.
We also support each other on a
daily basis on our secure email network, on the telephone, through newsletters
and at social events.
Joining is simple and membership is open to all families - even those awaiting a diagnosis for their children are invited. There is no pressure to commit, no pressure to attend every meeting. We have a relaxed approach to meeting and sharing ideas - we often take meetings on to the pub! Just come along to any meeting or email us at peapods@peapods.org.uk.
